During a recent trip to the UK I was very fortunate to be able to view the David Hockney retrospective exhibition at Tate Britain London! Bucket list day for me and so excited to view an amazing selection of this artist's work as he reaches the age of 80. Such a wide variety of work from stunning drawings, polaroid collages, ipad art, photography and of course paintings. My all time favourite artwork was there that I have admired since school days, visiting it each time I have visited the Tate over the years. Mr and Mrs Clark and Percy from his naturalism era Love Love Love! This life size painting wows me every time with the colour, composition and light hitting the figures of Ozzie Clark and wife. Could have stayed all day :-)

The recent art and opera fundraiser for the Medical Research Foundation has recently taken place at Christchurch Art Gallery and I was delighted to once again be asked to support this worthy event with a donated painting. 'Red on White' 80x80cms acrylic on canvas original sold as part of this evening and I hear it was the most successful evening for all the hardworking team behind the scenes. Thanks for asking me, I love supporting events like these wherever possible.
