  Delighted to be part of this group show with Karen Walters and Allan Batt at Kereru Gallery recently. This amazing gallery is brand new and is run by Mike and Karen Walters in Mapua near Nelson. Sold 'Tui Times Two' and also very happy how my large flax piece looked on the wall. This piece is available at the moment and measures 110x100cms. I love to trawl around antique and vintage shops, always on the look out for interesting items to paint. A new shop opened around the corner from the gallery and so I came across this wonderful milk jug. If anyone knows me they would realize that I love Crown Lynn pottery and have rather too much of it to admit to. I always knew this would be a painting one day when I got it and so I have recently set up a simple still life in the studio. The apples have now gone mouldy sitting there so long but today I think I can say I am happy with it and plan to varnish this afternoon. It will probably head over to Little River Gallery as soon as I have photographed it and added it to my catalogue. No name as yet but it measures 50x50cms. Enjoy!   |
