I love to trawl around antique and vintage shops, always on the look out for interesting items to paint. A new shop opened around the corner from the gallery and so I came across this wonderful milk jug. If anyone knows me they would realize that I love Crown Lynn pottery and have rather too much of it to admit to. I always knew this would be a painting one day when I got it and so I have recently set up a simple still life in the studio. The apples have now gone mouldy sitting there so long but today I think I can say I am happy with it and plan to varnish this afternoon. It will probably head over to Little River Gallery as soon as I have photographed it and added it to my catalogue. No name as yet but it measures 50x50cms. Enjoy!
