Peony commission

My latest work has been a labour of love for a lovely client moving into her new home following the earthquakes.  She approached me several months ago to discuss commissioning an original painting for her hallway. We had lots of chats and waited until the peonies were flowering and took heaps of images to work from. Over a matter of months she has been popping in to see progress-its such a great process.  I have just finished the last layer of glazing and today it will be varnished. She saw it yesterday and loves it- five times more that she thought she would! Had so many comments about it from visitors to the gallery and on facebook - circular and measuring 130cms in diameter its a biggie and going to be a real wow piece. Can't wait to see it hanging.
